About

Why we started GTL

We started Gateway Talent Labs to help smaller organizations adopt AI in a way that works for the people doing the work.

Most conversations about AI focus on the technology: which tools to buy and what they can do. Far less attention goes to the people expected to use them, and that is usually where adoption succeeds or stalls.

That is the side we focus on. Our backgrounds are in organizational psychology, and our research looked at how AI affects people's engagement, confidence and exhaustion at work. We bring that understanding to every recommendation we make.

Large companies have whole teams to manage new technology. Small businesses and nonprofits rarely do, so we step in as that team: helping you choose the right tools, train your people and put a clear plan in place, at a scale that makes sense for you.

AI Tools & Vendor Vetting

Buying AI is easy. Choosing well is harder. We work out what your team actually needs, compare the vendors, tools and models that could deliver it, and give you a clear recommendation with the reasoning behind it. You stay in control of the final decision and the setup.

AI Upskilling & Workshops

Having AI tools is not the same as knowing how to use them well. Our interactive sessions are built around the work your team already does, so people leave knowing where AI helps, where it falls short, and when its output needs a second look.

What's included

  • Sessions shaped around your team's real tasks and tools
  • Practice with real examples, not just slides
  • Guidance on using AI safely, including what never to share with it

AI Policy & Governance

If people are already using AI at work, you need a shared plan for how. We create one with you, in language your team can follow, so everyone knows what AI can be used for, what information stays out of it, and who checks the results.

  • Who reviews AI output, and when
  • A plan you can update as tools and regulations change

Meet the team

Yohji and Sunvy founded GTL together and work side by side on everything we do.

Yohji

Education Lead

Yohji brings significant experience from the world of organizational psychology, having supported startups and large companies such as Monzo. He is focused on helping small businesses and organizations adopt AI responsibly.

Yohji holds a master's degree in Occupational Psychology from the University of Nottingham, where his research focused on work engagement and exhaustion in companies adopting AI. Outside work, he enjoys running and traveling, most recently to North Macedonia.

Sunvy

Operations Lead

Sunvy has supported operations at organizations such as the White House and NASA, where he gained experience translating technical language into clear, practical policy and procedure.

He holds a master's degree in Work and Organizational Psychology from the University of Nottingham, where his research focused on AI confidence and work engagement in professional roles. In his spare time, Sunvy enjoys coaching and playing pickleball.
